NUMBER OF ROOMS: 6 bedrooms (12 guests)
CLOSED ANNUALLY: Open all year round

THE STORY : France Durez, a former stylist who now works as an interior decorator, has transformed the stables of this farm in the Vendee department into a 200-square-meter gîte. Located deep in the countryside, 15 km from Les Sables d’Olonne, Le Chromatic sleeps up to twelve guests: a vintage lounge (bubble lamps, Emile Baumann chairs, a vintage Michel Ducaroy couch…) with a first-rate sound system on the ground floor and three very Le Corbusier-inspired bedrooms with plywood walls, private bathrooms, mezzanines for the kids and south-facing terraces upstairs. The best part? The absolute peace and tranquility of the space, unless you want to try your hand at the guitar, piano or drums lying around. From €1375 to 2585 per week, for a total of 12 people.

INTERNET: Wifi (free)
LITTLE LUXURY: The indoor pool, heated to 29°C year round.
