Happen to be in the Latin Quarter? Feeling super hungry? The super talented Anthony Rousselle is here to the rescue! Inside his minimalist mini-mart mixing walnut furniture and polished concrete floors, Anthony (who used to work at Altro Maccheroni) works the L-shaped counter, overflowing with super sammies and other highly lunch-worthy eats, made with a little help from his sister Sarah (founder of Goût Gueule). Think baguette sandwiches showcasing artisanal produce (Louis Ospital charcuterie, top-notch Comté from Marcel Petite cheesemongers), including a merguez hot dog slathered with toum (a creamy garlic sauce) and seasonal veg, to devour to your heart’s content. On top of all that, there are other delectable options, like the day we went for lunch: a puffy bao stuffed with caramelized pork and satay sauce, or a ricotta and oyster mushroom tartine – served with a side of celeriac remoulade, fries (with homemade sauces) or even cacio e pepe, depending on the day; before dunking a madeleine in a French press coffee (roasted exclusively by Darius for the house), or a generous chocolate chip cookie, which will leave you feeling super stuffed! Don’t forget to fill your shopping tote too, with good things like Cherico chicory drinks, Aixandri tomato sauces, Madrid-made Superbon chips, cans of hard cider from Atelier Constant-Berger, and even eye-popping colorful ceramics from Frizbee. // Vincent Shogun
