“As mini as it is mimi” (French for “cute”): that could be the motto of this café decked out in blue and white tones with wooden accents, hidden away on Île Saint-Louis. It’s definitely tiny, but the quality can’t be beat! In this 6 m2 space, there’s barely enough room to place your order with Loïc Antoine, the barista who traveled extensively around Asia and Scandinavia before opening this coffee haven. There’s a vast array of classic drinks (espresso, latte, flat white, etc.), to take away or savor on the terrace that almost feels spacious compared to the shop itself (15 seats and all!). There are a few fusion options too, like dirty matcha, espresso tonic or even a salted caramel latte, all of which are made using beans from Ethiopia, Rwanda or Colombia, sourced mainly from the Finish roasters Frukt. But the subtly spiced chai is also 100% worth trying… and it pairs perfectly with the carrot cake made by Léa Nghiem, Loïc’s partner, who also bakes chocolate cookies and banana bread made by the book. // Anna Elisabeth
