For East Parisian hipsters, this tiny avenue located along the Père-Lachaise cemetery has insane potential. That’s where Pilar d’Amuri, an Argentine pastry chef with plenty of personal style, set up her cozy spot named Pilo’s, a tearoom where seats are hard to come by. En el menú? Parisian coffees from Mick, teas by Happy Blue Tea, and the boss’s pastry creations. Behind the counter, you’ll find South American sweets (medialunas, alfajores) alongside perfectly mastered “classics” – carrot cake, ricotta tart… And for true fans, the chef also sells custom-made cakes (by special order only). // Farah Keram

The hidden gem: The alfajor, an Argentine dulce de leche shortbread (€2 to €3.80).
