Koikonboi is all about clean wines, brought to us by Charlie Ragot the day we went, with ten years of dealing out wine to his name, alongside his partners Marc Duchassin, a wine shop owner himself, and Stanislas Wallut, a winemaker in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In their teeny tiny shop (9 m2 with wood everywhere you look) that’s been located on Rue Custine since 2019, you’ll only find pure wines that are chic and not (too) expensive: an Hérault Syrah bottled by Julie Brosselin, the winemaker behind Les Cigales dans la Fourmilière (€16); a Chenin from Thomas Batardière (€32), a former disciple of Leroy; along with a winemaker’s cider aged on marc de Pineau d’Aunis (€16), or even Cordeuil Champagne (€89)… It’s also worth noting that the wine shop has a drinking bar on Rue Damrémont. Cheers! // Rosa Poulsard

The bullet-proof bottle: Séraphin, an excellent 2012 Jacquère from Savoie produced by Adrien Berlioz for a mere €25.
