There’s definitely no shortage of wine bars in this neighborhood! In addition to Koikonboi?, Les Naturistes and Comestibles & marchand de vins (to name just a few), Tata Bouteille has joined the scene, located between the Lamarck and Marcadet metro stations. Running this angular shop with a neon fuchsia sign is Camille Arbib (a former project manager for the Élysée chef Guillaume Gomez) and Marine Nugeron (who used to work for La Cave Lambert and Le Rouge et le Verre). Together, they show off a collection of respectable French labels in addition to a few Latin discoveries. Grab any of the following off the small shelves: Kamikaze, an Alsatian macerated pinot gris from the Domaine Josmeyer (€38) with a beautifully complex nose; Terre de Grès, an Anjou chenin from the Château de Bois-Brinçon that’s full-bodied and rich (€24); or Pavon, a sparkling Ardèche blend of sauvignon and viognier by Le Cros des Calades (€15.50). It’s worth noting that their tiny épicerie section stocks fresh cheeses, saucissons and pâtés from Les Salaisons Vincent Marion, along with tinned seafood from Poiscaille. // Jackie Pépite
THE BULLET-PROOF BOTTLE: Terre Silvate, a lively and saline blend of verdicchio and trebbiano from the Italian winery La Distesa (€19.70).
