THE STORY: An ivory facade, wooden window frames, a stone staircase… The dashing Monsieur Aristide has set down his suitcases in this beautiful nineteenth-century building, nestled into a cobblestone street named after the songwriter Aristide Bruant. Dreamt up by interior designer Marion Collard, the latest addition to the Hôtel Monsieur family unites bohemian and Belle Époque aesthetics via chic antique pieces – wicker chairs, high bistro chairs, globe light fixtures…. Upstairs, you’ll find twenty-three bedrooms with sand, brick and whiskey tones, some of which are equipped with bay windows that overlook the interior garden, others with big floral terraces, perfect for evening cocktails in good company. And way up top? There are two sublime two-level suites with views of the Parisian skyline! Once night falls, you’ll want to hang out near the jukebox, where you can choose from hundreds of songs to liven up your weekend… Double rooms starting at €199 a night.
TOILETRIES: Grown Alchemist shampoo, body wash and soap.
BREAKFAST: €18, with coffee or tea, fruit juice, a crispy baguette, granola, organic eggs, homemade jams and fruit salad.
LITTLE LUXURY: Traveling back to the 1930s as you play a round of backgammon on the private terrace.
