THE STORY: After fifteen years at the helm of Les Terrasses, chef Christophe Aribert has hoisted his own flag in a former thermal baths chalet, at the heart of the beautiful Uriage-les-Bains nature park. A native of the region, he adopted an environmentally friendly approach, working with ethically-sourced, top-notch artisanal materials when transforming this 19th-century Anglo-Normand building into an ultra-modern space that’s in perfect harmony with the natural world. In addition to a fine dining restaurant and a revisited village café, the Maison Aribert has five cozy and luminous bedrooms (pastel tones, Scandinavian-inspired furniture, luxury Hästens mattresses), each one equipped with a private terrace and views of the park! Double rooms starting at €200 a night.
TOILETRIES: Soap, body wash and body lotion from Ma Thérapie, an environmentally friendly line.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: €20, with coffee or tea, bread, homemade breakfast spreads, jams from Le Trièves, viennoiseries, homemade pastries, fresh juice and fruit salad, homemade sheep’s milk yogurt and muesli.
LITTLE LUXURY: The space dedicated to alternative therapies, where an Ayurvedic masseuse, an etopathy practitioner and a kinesiologist all work.
