THE STORY: After opening Jogging, the coolest concept store in Marseille, Charlotte Brunet and Olivier Amsellem set down their suitcases in the Calanque de Saména. There, the two accomplices got their hands on an abandoned house where they would allow its Mediterranean heritage to shine through arte povera: timeworn tomette tile floors, decrepit walls, terra cotta vases… A little dolce vita-esque slice of paradise with two patios for you to enjoy both indoor and outdoor living, a small tiled bath outside for a quick dip, a beautifully authentic kitchen, a clawfoot bathtuband… an XL Bonne Mère! Starting at €250 a night (minimum two-night stay).
TOILETRIES: Aesop shampoo and body wash.
INTERNET: Wifi.
BREAKFAST: A breakfast basket prepared by L’Epicerie L’Idéal, with artisanal fruit juices, bread from the Dame Farine bakery, viennoiseries, jam, local honey… (€25 for two people).
