Looking for some truly delicious Iranian cuisine in the 20th arrondissement? À table! That’s where Ghazaleh Gerani has been providing a warm welcome to locals from the Réunion neighborhood for nearly a decade now. Best of all, this colorful spot (lilac banquettes, photos of opponents of the regime, quirky touches) serves a generous all-you-can-eat buffet! Tested and approved the day we went: a medley of mezze that had us buzzing – borani (yogurt, garlic and spinach), mast mussir (yogurt and shallot), mirza ghassemi (eggplant, eggs and spices), white bean salad and potato fritters; cheeky vine leaves and cabbage stuffed with rice; a classic ghormeh sabzi, aka veal ragù with herbs, kidney beans and dried limes; an intensely flavorful fessendjan, another type of ragù, this time made with chicken, pomegranate molasses and walnuts… One piece of advice? Remember to save room for dessert, especially the creamy ferni, a sort of rosewater and cardamom pudding that Persian dreams are made of! // Louise Delange

FEELING THIRSTY? : Indulge in Persian beverages, like Cyrus saffron beer (€6.50 for 330 ml), sharbat-e sekanjabin, a cider vinegar syrup and mint-based drink with grated cucumber and chia seeds (€7 a glass) and aragh sagi, a bootleg digestif that tastes a bit like grappa (€8 a shot).
PRICE: : All-you-can-eat buffet €15.90 (lunch from Monday to Friday), €22.90 (dinner and Saturday at lunch) and €25.90 (Sunday at lunch).
