Say goodbye to the neo-industrial space with views of the kitchens! When taking on their new (beautiful) neighborhood near Le Bon Marché, Anna Trattles, Alice Quillet and Anselme Blayney established their second bakery in a chic, white, luminous space with orange banquettes. There’s around 15 seats behind the window and a few seats on the terrace, and the younger sister of the Rue Bréguet location keeps the demanding passersby on Rue du Cherche-Midi satisfied from breakfast through snack time. The day we went for brunch: a sensational breakfast bun filled with leeks and salsa verde; a perfect toastie with mushrooms, Comté and parsley; a dreamy chocolate-almond brioche; extremely moist banana bread; or even a chocolate chip cookie that’s worth its weight in gold. // E.D.B.
