Iris Michalon and Fewzi Raffed have been pumping freshly roasted specialty coffee into the Camas neighborhood for four years now: Cerrado from Brazil, Kaffa from Ethiopia, Del Micay from Colombia… Savor them in house to kick start your mornings: Machiavellian lattes featuring La Laiterie Marseillaise milk, available as classic café lattes or their matcha, golden (made with turmeric), chai, beetroot or charcoal alternatives, served hot or cold! At breakfast, neighborhood regulars pair their black espresso or mokaccino with a duo of tartines from Pain Pan, topped with salted butter and marmalade, a boiled egg or a bowl of the house granola, served with fromage blanc, local honey and seasonal fruits. Not to mention the pastries by Ornella: cookies, apple tarts, chocolate marble cake… Some more good news: a second location opened up at 281 Boulevard Chave, where they also roast their own beans. // Victoria Bout
THE HIDDEN GEM: The chocolate-fleur de sel cookie (€3), best when dipped into a well-proportioned flat white (€4).
