On the shelves, you’ll see traditional French breads made with organic heirloom wheat flours prepared by expert baker Michael Saelen: baguettes, pistolets and tourte meule loaves, the star of the house. The marble countertop is adorned with viennoiseries made with good-quality butter (croissants with cream filling, chocolate, raisins or pistachios) and mouth-watering pastries (raspberry or lemon tartlets). Looking to fill up your tote bag with goodies? There are some exceptional products on the shelves of the grocery section: JusRé soups and juices, Rhoeco spices, Yurrita sardines, Chocolat des Français chocolate bars… The Domestic dynasty extends over to a tea room in the city center (Lange Gasthuisstraat 5) and a small eatery in the southwestern part of Antwerp (Markgravelei 95). · Alma Caroni
