With its local DNA, and so many good things to eat, drink and be merry, plus the incredible charm of this space that dates back to 1772, it didn’t take long for the Fromagerie D’Lices to become a local foodie favorite! In our tote bag filled with well-sourced, gourmet goodies the day we went: delicious homemade cheeses (cow’s milk tomme cheese aged in cider) or cheeses from elsewhere, but which are always aged in house (an orange-hued Scottish Shropshire), charcuterie, a fine food’s section and a beautiful range of wine, beer and cider. And at Vanessa Chibani and Antoine Rocul’s place, you can also grab a bite to eat in house or on the lovely terrace when the weather’s nice: salads, tartines, grilled cheese made with truffled raclette cheese, veal and smoked eel tartare, etc.
The hidden gem: The homemade sheep’s milk cheese with fenugreek (€42.95/kg).
