Ever since Theodoros and Yorgos Giannitsakis, the bosses of Pressure (an ad agency and clothing brand), moved out of their mother’s home, they’ve dreamt of returning. And in a way they have, behind the forest green facade of Marais, a well-balanced Greek spot. Served à la carte, there’s a smattering of mezze (thalassini, tzatziki, spanakopita), dishes that’ll drive you wild (incredible moussaka, keftedes, soutzoukakia – tomato meatballs) and desserts that’ll make you want to break a plate in celebration – orange and filo dough cake, walnut sponge cake or kourabiedes (almond shortbread cookies) that are delicious dipped into iced espresso… all cooked up with love by their mama. And to go with all that, there’s an épicerie section boasting all the classics: honey-infused tahini, outstanding olive oil, pistachio cream, wine from Peloponnese aged in amphora… // Louise Delange
The hidden gem: The revani, an orange semolina cake served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (€8).
