To infinity and the bar! Léa and Louis-Marie Fleuriot, the siblings behind the original Cadoret (Biggest Crush Fooding Guide 2019), have teamed up with Léa Gonzales (aka Gonzo) to send this neighborhood bar into orbit, complete with a long, wood-topped tiled bar, bare walls, original hardwood floors and glowing neon pendants. It’s the sort of place where an evening can drift happily off course in a mix of vintage R&B and spot-on drinks, ranging from vermouths and natural wines to cocktails riffing on the classics (including a non-alcoholic Americano), Dutch craft beer and a bock’n’shot combo for just five bucks. And once the drinks start taking effect, the two Léas’ excellent paninis are exactly what mission control ordered. Good luck escaping its gravitational pull! · Tami Taylor
Ordered: A punchy Negroni (€11) and a deeply macerated orange wine from Geoffrey Estienne in the Creuse region (€8 a glass), paired with excellent paninis for ten bucks – zucchini, fior di latte, fenugreek tomme cheese and chili paste for one; lamb, egg, yogurt, tomato and harissa for the other.
