Hip, Camper-wearing Dansaert Vlamingen have made this coffee bar their new HQ (wooden bench, brusseleer mosaics, waxed concrete, hipster staff). Atop the Dtile counter, admire the extremely sharp selection by Jens Crabbé (Belgian Cup Tasters Championship two-time champion): Kenyan washed for filter, Guatemalan red honey-processed for espresso, luxurious Colombian Geisha by Jonathan Gasca, and cans of nitro coffee made from Ethiopian beans… As well as alternative options to quench other trendy drinkers, like high-quality matcha and kvass – a fermented drink made from bread. On the plates, it’s all very green: okonomiyaki pancakes topped with roasted endive and straciatella; cashew cream and fresh herbs with slow-roasted carrots, pistachios and sourdough; or even avocado toast, the only untrendy thing in sight! // Rocky Simone

THE HIDDEN GEM: The skillfully poured cappuccino (€3.80 + €0.20 with plant-based milk), washed down with a slice of very moist banana bread.
