The name of this shop is a reference to France’s preferred “snack time” (aka 4:30pm), and Marion Juhel has reinvented the concept of the afternoon treat with a modern twist, by filling her space with plants, upcycled objects and ingredients from local producers. Her drool-worthy creations include delicious things like yuzu macarons with spruce Chantilly cream and kumquat compote, mimosa blossom saint-honoré pastries, rose and grapefruit cake with Meyer lemon jelly, wild garlic babka… Not to mention the breads baked by her partner François Bono, including a buckwheat couronne loaf or an excellent Brasseur bread made with spent grain from the nearby Origines microbrewery. All of which is available in one of their two shops in Rennes: the bakery with views of the workshop (Passage Jeanne-Chauveau), and the boutique with a tearoom corner (Rue Hoche). // Ari Beaux
