THE STORY: Take two peas in a pod and two pairs of muddy boots, give them a good shake and you’ll end up with a charming Breton gîte in the great outdoors! This little white cottage surrounded by hydrangeas and attached to the inn of the same name is run by chef Lénaïck Geffroy and vegetable farmer Louise Lefebvre. Inside, you’ll find an independent bedroom (coconut fiber rugs, exposed wooden beams), a living room with stone walls and vintage furniture, complete with a comfortable sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and an adorable little garden to wander through at your leisure. During your country escape, between excursions to Fougères and Mont Saint-Michel, let Lénaïck and Louise share their passion for the land, the culinary arts and the surrounding countryside with you – they’ll have you dreaming of trading it all in for a life in the sticks! Gîte accommodations starting at €80 a night in the off-season and €110 a night in the high season.
TOILETRIES: Artisan soap and shampoo.
BREAKFAST: €12, delivered to your doorstep in a basket, featuring coffee, tea, milk, spelt bread, farm-fresh butter, homemade jams, salted caramel, homemade yogurt, cereals, eggs and seasonal fruit.
LITTLE LUXURY: Dine at the inn right across the way – we highly recommend it!
