Zero-percent, maximum party! That’s the mantra of Arnaud Bonté and his husband Frédéric Bondu, two fifty-somethings who opened this alcohol-free drinks shop in 2019, just a stone’s throw from La Criée indoor market. Their mission? To sweep away the tired clichés clinging to soft drinks and prove that going booze-free doesn’t mean going buzz-free. Inside their stripped-back space (light wood shelving, revived antique sideboards), they’ve curated an impressive lineup of around 250 hangover-free bottles, from alcohol-free beers and spirits, to dealcoholized wines, sodas, juices and infusions – all made in France, many locally: Cool Down, an IPA from Tête Haute brewery near Nantes; Osco, a complex aperitif of verjus, warm spices and summer berries; or even Chavin Zero sauvignon. They even provide cocktail recipes to keep the party moving, from an Osco Mule to a Zero Mojito. · Lester Grossman
