L’Antiquaire? A classic among classics according to Marc Bonneton, the former bartender at Redwood. Expect a Mad Men-esque setting with lots of varnished wood, dim lighting and Chesterfield booths where you can sip the standards (Americano, Negroni, Boulevardier…), along with a short menu of homemade recipes. Including the fan-favorite Marco’s Bacardi Fizz, which earned the owner his reputation with its mixture of rum, lemon juice, chartreuse, egg white, cream, sugar and sparkling water (€10) – or the more summery Acalpulco Papagayo, made with tequila, Martini, lemon juice, raspberry and ginger syrup, bitters and egg white (€10). As for the cocktails, a mouthwatering Buckingham Garden with cucumber syrup, saline solution, lemon and ginger ale (€7) does the trick. // A.S.
