Nick, Riffault, Pesnot, Dard & Ribo… The organic winemaking world seems to assemble inside this 30 m2 wine shop located on Place d’Armes, enthusiastically run by Stéphane Andréani for the last eleven years. He boasts a sharp selection of naturalist-style wines, with plenty of Var vintages (a Carignan from Jérôme Maillot at €14 a bottle or a Jean-Christophe Comor at €15, a Bandol red from La Tour du Bon at €40…), but not just that: La Sagesse, a Grenache from the Domaine Gramenon (€26), a Corsican San Giovanni red blend from Antoine-Marie Arena (€25), a Mâcon-Chaintré from Philippe Valette (€36)… And it’s even possible, after having shown your credentials, to drink a bottle of wine in house with friends – without paying a corkage fee! And just to up the ante, Stéphane offers up beautiful spirits, including Port Askaig and Nikka Taketsuru whiskeys (€64 and €66 respectively)… // A.A.
The bullet-proof bottle: Âme qui Vive, a red blend from Comor (€23).
