Paris finally has its very own Georgian wine bar! Opened in June 2021 just a stone’s throw from Le Baratin, Supra opens up your chakras with a selection of natural wines imported directly from the home country of Nika Endeladze, who co-owns this shop with Vincent Lappartient. Even the most knowledgeable of connoisseurs will have to rely on the duo to unravel the mysteries of these grape varieties with tongue-twister names (rkatsiteli, krakhuna, chkhaveri…), which produce orange wines that are shamefully little-known in France, like the one from the Iases Marani winery (€7 a glass), or this rare Buera from Chala Briani (€23 a bottle). Uncork them in house (for a €8 corkage fee), alongside well-sourced, seasonal plates: pkhali, khatchapouri (cheese turnover sold in pizza form here), cucumber, tomato, feta, sunflower seed and fresh herb salad… // Laura Dargent
The bullet-proof bottle: Gravitas, a macerated Kisi and Mtsvane blend produced by the Rosha Winery (€28.50).
