THE STORY: Ideal for exploring the gorges of the nearby nature reserve, this hunter’s cabin underneath the trees has its own private beach along the Ardèche River. We relax there between two days of canyoning or caving in a cozy bedroom on animal pelts, or in one of the safari cabin-tents with a private hot tub. Rooms from €105 to €190.

BREAKFAST: €9 (children, €4,5), with hot drinks, fruit juice, bread and biscuits, organic cream of chestnuts from the Ardèche, homemade jams, honey, cereals, cured meats and local organic cheeses, fruits.
LITTLE LUXURY: In addition to offering picnics (€12/person) packed to go, the owners, Corinne and Romain own their own canoes that the hosts can rent.
