NUMBER OF ROOMS: Five rooms
ANNUAL CLOSURE: Open year round

THE STORY: In an adorable village in the Aisne department, with barely a hundred inhabitants to its name, the historic Hôtel Sainte-Croix gave way to Maison Sollier: a massive space where Claire Dubos and Pierre Momeux (who also own Maison Séraphine in Laon) provide shelter to big groups of people (up to 15 at a time). On the ground floor, the shared spaces bleed into one another like a rainbow: a peacock blue lounge with a vintage piano; a candy pink dining room fit for a feast: and a kitchen decorated with sunny yellow touches, which gives out onto a garden full of roses. Meanwhile upstairs, the cheeky bedrooms (soft tones, light hardwood floors, marble fireplaces…) welcome kids and adults alike. If you’re looking for water sports, there are camp vibes in the shared bathrooms, and a parental suite with a chic clawfoot bathtub. In short, a thrilling spot, just two hours outside of Paris. Rent the entire house, starting at €1,000 for two nights.

BREAKFAST: Breakfast baskets are provided upon request (€10), which include bread, brioche and viennoiseries from the village, homemade jam, farm-fresh apple juice, seasonal fruits… Anything else is up to you!
TOILETRIES: Artisan, natural and local soap.
LITTLE LUXURY: Explore the various walks through the fields and forests, all of which leave from the house.
