THE STORY: The luxury hotel suite MurmuresNamur has taken refuge inside this cube clad in reflective aluminum, which disappears into the natural surroundings. The allusion to The Mirrorcube Treehotel in Swedish Lapland is not accidental, but rather architect Christophe Sechehaye’s (Magic Architects) deliberate source of inspiration. Perched on the slopes of the Citadel of Namur, the 45-square-meter mirror house meets the highest standards of luxury hotels, and the details that make all the difference are shared only with the hotel’s lucky guests – something that founder Vincent Toussaint and his wife Mélanie were set on from the start, ensuring each stay be a one-of-a-kind experience. The bedroom (complete with a king size bed) extends out onto a large terrace, revealing panoramas that are beyond compare: in the winter, expect meandering views of the Meuse Valley, while in summer, you’re in among the treetops of the property’s century-old trees. Double room starting at €280 per night. // Jeanne Jaco
