Since 2022, Abdoulaye Diallo has been welcoming guests with his signature warmth, while his wife Barry runs the kitchen, orchestrating authentic, unpretentious, family-style West African cuisine. Let the fun and games begin: a rich cassava leaf stew with fish, served alongside flawless attiéké; then, three enormous chicken meatballs swimming merrily in a pool of peanut sauce over rice; or Chèvre Télé Jazz, chunks of grilled goat bursting with robust flavor, brightened with a squeeze of lemon and served with button mushrooms, onions and deep-fried plantain. And for dessert, it’s classic all the way, with a Dame Blanche ice cream sundae or a Colonel lemon sorbet spiked with vodka. Simple, straightforward and incredibly good. · Basil Hic
