Creative crepes do exist! At the crêperie run by Aurore and Erwan – a tiny spot discreetly tucked away on the corner of a cobblestoned pedestrian street with a small terrace – the duo constantly churns out imaginative new compositions. With a proud locavore attitude (fruit and vegetables from Les Vergers de Kerbellec, sausage from Kervignac) and a respect for the seasons (scallops from the Baie de Quiberon), they offer up options like a buckwheat galette filled with haddock from La Saumonerie du Loch, wakame seaweed and Roscoff onions, or a Veggie galette samosa filled with farm-fresh goat cheese from Le Menez Horn, organic carrots smoked over black tea, and homemade Thai sauce! Personally, we opted for the Jordan, which consisted of buckwheat galette tagliatelle crisped up in butter and paired with shrimp, a shrimp head jus, bamboo shoots, coconut, ginger, cilantro and soy sauce – a seriously impressive dish! And for dessert, we opted for the Coët Digo, a crepe with vanilla crème diplomate, summer berry coulis, strawberries from Saint-Goustan, plus a touch of sweet basil pesto and a crisp tuile to balance it out. Surprising and delightful, through and through. // Adrien Nouviaire
