Vijf, twee, één… Come on in! It’s here in this soberly styled, ultra-symmetrical building (a long, dark wood bar, bistro chairs, whitewashed walls) that Tomek Mroszczak, the ex-chef of Ganzerik and associate of Lieven Cobbaut, has chosen to cook. Things kick off with some lusty panko-ed pork cheek croquettes dunked in beet ketchup; followed by some beautifully pink shoulder of lamb, braised green cabbage and green beans, all bathing in a Thai peanut curry; before finishing with a vanilla mascarpone mousse with a creamy dulce de leche center and a cookie crumble. Phew! // Romy Van Helden
FEELING THIRSTY? There’s a secret, naturalist selection, hidden in the basement, behind the bar: Riva Arsiglia, a Venetian white from Giovanni Menti (€8.50 a glass), Boire Désir, a Burgundy chardonnay from La Dernier Goutte (€55 a bottle), and La Soif Du Mal, a Roussillon Grenache from Les Foulards Rouges (€58).
PRICE: Tapas €5-6, starters €16-21, mains €27-31, desserts €12-14, cheese €14.
