Curry-ious bellies, head to Konchu! Tucked away in a magnificent Ernest Blerot-designed Art Nouveau building, Elie Starc (who did a stint at Old Boy) handles front of house, while Raphaël Muguet (who trained at the Cordon Bleu in Paris) puts a slight Belgian twist on Japanese cuisine. In a space where bento boxes and One Piece mangas fill the shelves of this eatery designed by architect Thibault Villez, we savored a generous portion of lightly-spiced oyster mushroom curry with spicy butter, though you might opt instead for the Konchu fried chicken, aka KFC with a different kind of crunch – both of which are customizable with an added oeuf parfait and grated Comté cheese. At night, make way for the okonomiyaki-style stoemp (root veg mash), duck udon noodles, or grilled Brussels sprout skewers, all served family-style – or devoured solo if you prefer. // Aline Flamme
