The chicest maison d’hôte in the Perche province can now be reserved exclusively for dinner, lit by a spectacular 200-bulb chandelier! Grab a seat near the massive fireplace around a large marbled table designed by the owners, or on the terrace, under the guinguette-style fairy lights. To bring a little excitement to your taste buds, you can rely on the simple family-style cuisine cooked up by Clément Lescot (one of the two owners, the other being Vincent-Louis Voinchet), prepared using local ingredients, and there’s always a vegetarian option. Shared the night we went: organic country terrine from Nelly, the neighboring farm, or Bayeux pork saucisson (awarded France’s best in 2022) by Jérôme Lepoivre, made five kilometers away; followed by freshly sautéed rice and tofu; before strawberry carpaccio or a chocolate lava cake that hits the spot. // Marcelle Claudepierre
