At lunchtime, this tearoom on Rue de l’Abbé-Grégoire (mismatched modern furniture, colorful decor) shakes up the neighborhood with its seasonal menu. The day we went, we left happy but not flabbergasted after eating all of the following: plump salmon gravlax with raw cream and an orange condiment, all of which was sprinkled with grated horseradish; celery root ravioli draped over a combination of ricotta, asparagus, baby zucchini and fresh peas; and to round out the meal, a Breton shortbread tartelette topped with tangy raspberry coulis and vanilla whipped cream, all surrounded by fresh raspberries. On the weekends, a chic crowd rushes over for their gargantuan brunch: brioche French toast with caramel sauce, homemade spreads, slightly quirky prepared dishes (like yogurt with corn, an oeuf parfait, smoky paprika granola, bacon espuma and popcorn), apple sauce and granola, or the house’s signature dessert, a magnum ice cream (mousse, caramel, dipped in vanilla and almond praline crunch coating)… // Henriette Ma

FEELING THIRSTY? Homemade honey and mint lemonade (€5.50), chai latte (€5.50), freddo cappuccino (€5.50), or a few wines served by the glass including a riesling from the Domaine de l’Envol (€7) or a carignan from Myrko Tépus (€8).
PRICE: Formula menus €26-31, 5-course menu €53 (weekday lunch), brunch €39 (Sunday), plates €11-32 (Saturday), formula menu €60 (six plates of your choosing for two guests).
