THE STORY: This story begins like a fairytale: Set in the charming Auvergne village of Brioude with its basilica, adorable village squares and… the Orfenor inn, adorned with green shutters out front and yellow shutters out back, this is a tale of a lovely adventure undertaken by sisters Laura and Lucie Victor, plus Zach Watson and Charles Caldow. Our four protagonists, who are used to roaming the globe, were in search of for a more sedentary project. What should you expect? Four cozy bedrooms with distinct vibes (Impériale, Bardot, Paysanne and Chambre du Soleil), equipped with a shared or private bathroom, plus a huge dormitory for anyone just looking to spend the night, a few pieces of history-laden furniture (like the old piano on the porch or the lacy four-poster bed), a big garden with string lights where breakfast is served, a communal table for dinner and a wine cellar. The moral of the story? This is the perfect backdrop for a romantic weekend! Double rooms starting at €68 a night.

BREAKFAST: €8, composed of coffee, tea, fruit juice, bread and viennoiseries from the neighboring bakery, jams from the market, fruits, yogurts, homemade granola, eggs, cheese…
