At this very cute café in the Jean-Macé neighborhood, whose tiny upstairs dining room is decorated with old-fashioned furniture, Wei and Chen set their edible Japanese hits to music: hot or cold noodles with chicken or vegetables; prawn salad with soy sauce and wasabi; salmon and corn, shrimp tempura or salted plum onigiri; ochazuke (rice covered in jasmine tea and served with salted plums)… But the day we went for lunch, we decided to make friendly with the generous sando, stuffed with a seriously generous amount of fried chicken, some lovely raw veggies (lettuce, tomato, red cabbage) and sweet mayo, between two slices of thick, soft white bread from the Antoinette bakery. And to sweeten the deal, fluffy homemade dorayaki pancakes stuffed with azuki bean paste, or matcha cheesecake. // Pippi Johansson
