Want to swim with the big fish? Tucked away on the seventh floor of the glitzy Hôtel Cheval Blanc, Langosteria is the perfect spot for anyone looking for seafood, Italian pasta and an international crowd. For his first restaurant outside of Italy, entrepreneur Enrico Buonocoro teamed up with Bernard Arnault, for whom money isn’t much of a concern: a marble bar that’s perfect for displaying the big, beautiful beasts from the sea, clean wooden paneling, immaculate white tablecloths and, as a bonus, views of the illuminated Left Bank. The night we went, the plates prepared by chefs Domenico Soranno and Denis Pedron featured all of the following guest stars: electrifying amberjack sashimi with heat from jalapeño; a divine bluefin tuna with notes of tomato and oil; an already legendary warm salad of langoustine, octopus, calamari and berry-infused olive oil; a umami-esque bath of gnocchetti and gambero rosso prawns seasoned with tomatoes and basil; precious paccheri alchemized by line-caught bass, olives, capers and lemon zest – €80 for two, though… As for the sweets, there’s a highly Instagrammable tiramisu, or the “torta dela nonna Rosa,” the owner of LVMH’s favorite dessert: a flame-charred flaky brioche served with a vanilla and orange blossom chilled cream for dipping. // John Mason

FEELING THIRSTY? If you’re not in the mood to pay a few thousand euros for a Château d’Yquem, you can always fall back on some Italian wine: a sparkling Perlé Rosé from Ferrari (€25 a glass), a Friouli white from Schiopetto (€60 a bottle)…
PRICE: Appetizers €21-48, pasta €24-48, fish €35-70, desserts €18-28.
