Not satisfied with simply charming foodies in the Colonel Fabien neighborhood with their cheeky restaurant Candide, Alessandro Candido and Camille Guillaud are now serenading crowds at Michelle Mabelle. Behind the romantic sky-blue facade, their adorable counter joint has everything you need to satisfy your daily cravings on the quick – like a comforting bowl of mushroom soup served with a toasted bun baked by Thierry Breton, stuffed with scamorza, mashed butternut squash, pickled red cabbage and arugula. But the house’s true rock star is the croque monsieur made with baked ham from Maison Montalet (guaranteed to be nitrate-free), emmental and a mix of crème fraîche and Parmesan, dressed to the nines with its cheesy crust, paired with some explosively flavorful new potatoes tossed in Cajun spices… A lunch that shot straight to the top of our list of Parisian favorites! And to end the meal with something sweet, grab a chocolate and fleur de sel cookie, creamy semolina pudding with salted caramel and toasted buckwheat, or a lovely slice of marble cake. // Louise Delange
