She conquered Albion, and then crossed the English Channel! Linda Lee, the queen of K-food in London, brought her famous On the Bab (“on rice” in Korean) to Rue Sainte-Anne in Paris. Expect lots of concrete, metal and industrial touches for the decor, typically Korean lunch boxes (dosirak) and K-pop coming from the speakers… We ticked off all of the following boxes on the small paper order form the other day at lunch: delicious bab twigim, aka fried rice balls with kimchi and cheese, served with an incredible chili sauce for dipping; mouthwatering fried chicken with garlicky mayo or ginger soy sauce; plump buns stuffed with Korean BBQ style bulgogi beef. There was nothing but a rather lackluster mochi ice cream for dessert, though… // Albert Gredinbar
