All kawaii things come in small packages, right? Well-versed in pocket-sized spaces, the Japanese coffee duo Yui Matsuzaki and Yuichiro Sugiyama (Dreamin’ Man) have opened a new little home right next to their Roastery. With its pale wood and gorgeous windowed front, this kit-like cabin didn’t stay a secret for long. Inside, a U-shaped counter for ten pairs of chopsticks, no more, where a traditional teishoku lands every lunchtime: a tray piled high with an assortment of porcelain bowls and plates, prepared precisely by chef Maki Fujii (ex-Mr. T and Towa). A place to refuel, shoulder to shoulder, in a kitchen as compact as it is generous. · Harry Gobeur
