Le Ruisseau

Le Ruisseau (Paris)

There’s no shortage of burgers at this angular Ruisseau (bistro tiles, round hanging light fixtures, multiple countertops), a glitzy fast food joint with 11 compositions sandwiched between homemade buns: fish (breaded pollack), vegetarian (chickpea patty and fromage blanc…), classic beef, BBQ, etc. Our lunchtime choice? A Blue Burger (€13.50) with melted blue cheese, Limousin beef ground in house, a honey-mustard sauce, onion confit, lots of salad and homemade double-fried fries… yum! For even bigger appetites, kick things off with nachos covered in melted cheddar and guacamole to share (€6.50), and a homemade panna cotta with strawberry coulis afterwards (€6.50). And to drink, you can’t go wrong with the really outstanding Goutte d’Or pale ale on tap (€4.20). Burgers €12-15, desserts €6.50 to €10, brunch €18-20 (Sunday until 4pm), kids’ menu €12. // G.D.
