Stone walls, concrete floors, oil paintings, antique furniture… In this cool spot just south of Gare de l’Est, marauders Arthur Combe (ex-Experimental) and Hugo Blanchet (ex-Robuchon) snatch up thirsty wandering souls and lost appetites. For us, the night we went: malicious bone marrow with turmeric breadcrumbs; a striking chilled cucumber soup with stracciatella and dehydrated sunchokes; a Shrek-like pea gazpacho with lardo di Colonnata; fashionable grilled octopus with romesco sauce; before a really fantastic creation combining Maras des Bois strawberries, tonka bean yogurt and homemade meringue for dessert. // A.A.

FEELING THIRSTY? Everything natural! Sparkling Bergerac from the Château Tour des Gendres (€7 a glass), an incisive Alsatian Pinot noir from the Domaine Agapé (€40 a bottle), a fine Chardo from Burgundy from Athénaïs de Béru (€46)…

PRICE: Plates €11-25.
