After winning over Paris’ 18th arrondissement, Mikaela Liaroutsos (Etsi Bistro, Etsi Ouzeri) has crossed the Seine with Etsi Traiteur, landing just a short stroll from Jardin du Luxembourg. Launched at the end of 2024 with her right-hand man Diego Demange, this no-nonsense Greek counter is run day to day by Theodora Giannouli (ex-Etsi Bistro), who turns out mezze, salads and deeply comforting Greek classics to take away or enjoy at one of the few tables. The day we stopped by, we happily worked our way through: a beet salad with capers and pistachios, silky eggplant slicked with caramelized three-onion, a perfectly balanced organic beef moussaka, and a sunny wedge of portokalopita (orange cake). To drink, a small but thoughtful selection of Greek wines, best enjoyed alongside fava beans or homemade tarama. Before leaving, stock up on some top-notch pantry staples (olive oils, breadsticks, capers) to keep the Greek odyssey going back home. · Lili Michel
