This isn’t (really) a bakery, nor is it a coffee shop either – as you won’t find people with a well-baked tradition baguette under their arm, nor anyone sitting there with a laptop and their sixth coffee on the go. Instead, this spot is a little gluten-fueled cult dedicated to granny Norma, who skillfully taught Abigail Munier (founder of the caterers Bonne Femme) the art of making pies, sausage rolls and buns. In return, the yeast she could do was pay tribute to granny with a stringy grilled cheese made with tomme and caramelized onions, which you can gobble down out front either standing or sitting on a stool, or a fluffy cinnamon bun, perfect come snack time. The icing on the cake? The playlist – it’s as good as the bread! // Maria Mariaux
THE HIDDEN GEM: The flaky “coussin” filled with vanilla cream, topped with juicy apricots and crushed pistachios (€4.80 each).
