THE STORY: This luxury farm, created by hotel manager Edouard Daehn and entrepreneur William Kriegel, opened its doors at the heart of La Cense, a 200-hectare estate located near the village of Rambouillet. The décor, which was entrusted to the Parisian design studio Be-Pôles, can be summed up in two words: sober and comfortable. Set up in two barns from the 1950s with red sheet metal roofs, the bedrooms play with simple and chic codes, with rustic Shaker-inspired furniture, Barbour-fabric curtains and Original BTC white ceramic light fixtures. And for the wellness touch, the former windmill has been transformed into a spa with a steam room, sauna and Ayurvedic massage room, plus an osteopath, and Nordic baths outside. Double rooms starting at €160 a night.
TOILETRIES: Eucalyptus-based soap, shower gel and shampoo.

BREAKFAST: €16, with coffee or tea, breads, viennoiseries, homemade cakes, fruit juices, yogurts and fresh fruit.

LITTLE LUXURY: Paradise for lovers of the outdoors, Le Barn has a storage space for guests to stock their sporting goods (fishing rods, boots, golf clubs, bikes…) between visits.
