THE STORY: Feeling frazzled? In Ronquières, La Meilleure Vie, a striking holiday home clad in glass and blackened wood, serves up a slice of the good life. Dreamed up by interior designer and wellness coach Fanny Demain and her consultant husband Marc, this beautiful two-story retreat rises from the countryside with cathedral-like volumes and serious light credentials. The result? A living room flooded in light all day long, turning deliciously cocooning at night around the fireplace, furnished with vintage finds and travel souvenirs (an olive-green Togo armchair, a linen sofa, Roger Capron ceramics, a natural hemp rug). The space flows into a fully equipped kitchen anchored by a long wooden dining table and 1950s Scandinavian chairs. When it’s time for beddy-byes, head downstairs to two ground-floor double bedrooms and one quadruple bedroom, all polished concrete floors and equally soft, understated style. Just don’t forget to collect your fully rebooted brain on the way out! Entire house from €950 for two nights (minimum). · Margot Mijo
