A deli delivering daily without delay. Try saying that fast three times. Then head to chef and keen runner Sidney Lauwers’ (ex-Savage in Brussels and Lyle’s in London) all-day eatery, set up for a six-month residency in the azure-tiled space that used to be Grammes. Every day, he turns out pillowy pizzette, trays of pizza by the slice, funky sandwiches, moreish cookies, chubby cinnamon buns and sourdough rounds, plus colorful salads on show in the chilled deli counter. Scattered about, you’ll also spot a few locally sourced pantry staples to slip into your tote, including coffee roasted by Brussels buddies Power Roasters. What’s more, there’s not a scrap of meat in sight, yet nothing feels like it’s missing, making for a neighborhood canteen whose lunches are as wholesome as they’re mischievous. · Nora Furia
