It comes as no surprise that in just a few years, this Vietnamese eatery has wiped out the competition in the 13th arrondissement with its outstanding phở and spring rolls… and that success translates to a pretty long wait around meal time. Our suggestion? Head there in the afternoon for a full immersion experience, letting your outfit of the day absorb the delicious aromas of their magic broth, while watching people play cards or bicker a few tables over. And best of all, treat yourself to their (already) legendary bún chả Hà Nội (extremely flavorful grilled pork with vermicelli noodles and Vietnamese herbs), bánh xèo (a crispy turmeric, pork, shrimp and soy bean pancake), or traditional phở bò đặc biệt made with a meat- and herb-heavy broth. Before some chè chuối for a sweet treat afterwards, a delicious dessert that combines banana, coconut milk, tapioca pearls and sesame seeds. After which, we have no doubt, you’ll be back for more! // James Patisson
