This luminous corner bistro is waking up the dreary Saint-Marcel neighborhood! It’s an ethical spot with cozy vibes that’ll have you wanting to lounge around all day on the cushioned bench, watching the open kitchen. The night we went, seated on the lovely terrace, Audrey Delano Minos served us all of the following: beautiful zucchini blossoms embellished with a vegetable filling; graceful canelloni stuffed with artichokes, baby chanterelles and a yellow wine sauce (that was a little too strong); deeply pleasurable mi-cuit salmon with spelt risotto, melon and haricots verts, served with a whipped cream-like bintje potato purée; and to share, tada!, a festive cheesecake sprinkled with flavorful black cherries and strawberries. During the week, the set lunch menu fills you up for the price of a pack and a half of Marlboros, featuring things like a soft-boiled egg and cream of Comté cheese, followed by pork and polenta… And on Sundays? We’ve heard rumors that the heady brunches are a perfect cure for your Sunday blues! // M.Ra.
