Jordan Biermann (formerly an architectural project manager) is behind this brand-new joint in Passage du Jeu de Boule, easy to spot thanks to its green storefront and a few wooden stools scattered out front. No chaos here: this tiny, fifteen-seat coffee shop embraces a deliberately unkempt look, with rough walls, exposed stone and corners patched with pasted-on drawings. As for drinks, expect all the classics – espresso, cortado, latte and flat white – made with beans from Lyon-based roaster Mokxa. Or switch things up with a matcha latte, chai, hot chocolate or an indulgent chocolate mocha from Awachaï. Pair it all with something sweet and homemade: chocolate-hazelnut cookies, moist pound cake, marble cake or granola. And because coffee here doubles as creative fuel, paper and pencils are provided – feel free to doodle between sips! · Anna Elisabeth
