Hello? Is this the place for a stylish coffee break? Crislaine Medina, Luis Andrade, and Nadim Smair sure know how to liven up a neighborhood. They first did it up in Belleville when they took over Cheval d’Or (winners of the Best Feast award Fooding Guide 2024), and this time round, they’ve worked their magic on a former call shop in the Goutte-d’Or, a spot paneled entirely in wood (walls, counter, ceiling) where a vinyl record crackles away on the turntable all day long, adding to the warm, intimate vibe. And the menu? As minimalist as the decor: espresso, Americano, flat white and filter coffee, brewed with beans from Los Andes and Hexagone… and no plan B for the caffeine-shy! For a sweet sidekick, grab a slice of cake (lemon, chestnut or chocolate, whatever the mood takes) or a crème caramel dispatched straight from their Asian bistro. Swell! ! · Andréa Claude

THE HIDDEN GEM: The mini sesame or fleur de sel cookies (€2 for two).
