A frost has fallen over Capbreton in the middle of a heatwave, as the Xamp ice cream shop supplies the town with frozen treats from inside a classic boutique (chrome bar, plastic chairs and parasols), boasting ice creams of exceptional quality! Here you’ll find the talented artisan Matthieu Champetier holding firm to his values: fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally and transformed into ice cream in house. Savor them while admiring the sea: hazelnut from the Lot-de-Garonne woken up by Calabrian licorice, crushed peanuts from Soustons and pistachios from Sicily, maple syrup, grilled corn… And a few popsicles that really stand out from the crowd, like the mouthwatering chocolate-covered ice cream pop that’ll make you feel like a kid again! // Jean Pascal
